Group Fundamentals

This class is designed for the complete beginner or any Pilates veteran looking to brush up on the basics. This class focuses on basic Pilates principles: core strength, increased flexibility, breath control and correct alignment to improve posture. Every class is different to insure that the body is challenged in new ways, but simple choreography and clear instruction makes this class accessible to both beginners that haven’t exercised in years or people who exercise regularly. You no longer need to feel intimidated by the equipment. You will learn the Pilates basics and how to use the Reformer safely from your very nurturing instructor. After taking a few of these classes, you will notice the spring in your step, the length in your spine and the tightness in your abdominal muscles. 45 minute class.

Group Reformer Multi-Level

This mixed level Pilates class focuses on strength, precision, and flow of movement. In this class the teacher will present the exercises at multiple levels which allows students to choose to work at a beginning, intermediate, or advanced pace. Students will learn to be aware of breathing patterns and spinal alignment while engaging the deep muscles of the core. Various props such as rings, light weights and balls are incorporated to enhance and intensify the workout. The instructor provides class participants with movement options and modifications to ensure that each person is working safely and at their appropriate level. With regular attendance, students will experience increased strength, flexibility, and stamina. 45 minute class.

Group Reformer Advanced

A fast paced class designed to challenge the techniques of advanced level students.  This class expands beyond the basic Pilates repertoire and is designed for healthy bodies that can successfully demonstrate proper alignment and core stability.  It is usually faster paced and involves more complex choreography.  Safety is always a great concern for advanced classes, so knowing what feels right or wrong in your own body is a very important skill in this class.  45 minute class.
